Strat question

#1 Post by jeffcohen717 »

Hey Todd,

On one of my Strat teams, I have a chance to pick up Jean Segura. His obp splits for 2020 are .355/.344. He pretty much just played 2b and 3b this year. Do you think he'll still be SS-rated as well? Does Strat consider skill sets/past positions, or does it rely solely on positions played in the most recent season? What kind of defensive ratings do you think he'll have for 2b and 3b? His 2019 SS rating in Strat wasn't very good.

Assuming that he is SS-rated, and that his defense at all 3 positions is tolerable, he'd fill 3 big holes for me: a SS who can hit LHP, a 2b who can hit RHP and 3b depth. Is he worth a 3rd round pick?

thanks,

jeff

Sorry Jeff, I'll be honest, I don't know stuff of that nature. I can ask Dean (so could you, for that matter) and he'd have a much better idea.

To be honest, I'm not sure how Strat will handle the abbreviated season.
