Should I drop anyone for Odor/Goodrum in an OBP league?

Get advice specific to your team. This can be opinions on trades, free agent or waiver pickups, who to start or even just "rate my team". It is helpful if you provide sufficient details regarding your league format and team composition.

Should I drop anyone for Odor/Goodrum in an OBP league?

#1 Post by dubykoff »

Hi all,

I'm in a 5X5, H2H, OBP league (Yahoo). Rougned Odor is an OBP-killer, but he reportedly has been working on "not panicking" and chasing bad pitches in two-strike counts, and in 31 spring at-bats, he had only 7 strikeouts, which is a big improvement from past spring training and regular season strikeout rates. He only walked twice in 33 PA, though.

Ozzie Albies is my only 2B, so it would be nice to have a backup for off days, and Odor and Goodrum are the best available 2B's. Should I cut any of my current players for one of those guys? Current roster is:

C-Will Smith
1B-Josh Bell
2B-Albies
3B-Jose Ramirez
SS-Bichette
CI-Bregman
MI-Swanson
OF-Ozuna, Brantley, Eaton, Braun
Util-Calhoun
BN-Brian Anderson, C.J. Cron
SP-Kershaw, Greinke, Giolito, Gray, Lynn, Price, Weaver, Archer
RP-Robles, Kela, Josh James

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Keeper league or 2020 only? If 2020 only, I wouldn't do anything until more is known about the season/schedule.

That said, I'd look to drop Eaton or Braun for a 2B eligible player so you have all the spots covered.

Thanks, Todd. It's a non-keeper league. I'll hang tight for now and look to add a 2B once more is known about the season. If there's a universal DH, Braun could be pretty valuable this year.
