who to drop...

Get advice specific to your team. This can be opinions on trades, free agent or waiver pickups, who to start or even just "rate my team". It is helpful if you provide sufficient details regarding your league format and team composition.

who to drop...

#1 Post by andrew_schug »

I have folty coming back form the DL tonight, and robbie ray due back later this month. I am at a crossroads on who to drop. I'm leaning relief pitcher, but jsut don't know which one(s).

Our categories are IP, ERA, WHIP, K, K/9, QS, SV+HD

My active starting pitchers are deGrom, Bumgarner, Corbin, Flaherty, Pivetta, J Gray, Stroman, Lucchesi
My active relief pitchers are Knebel, Vazquez and Roe

DL: Folty, Ray, Cingrani, and I sadly decided to put Strickland there too

Please help!

Can't say 100% for sure w/o knowing the category math, but on the surface - Stroman easy drop (low K/9) then either Lucchesi or Roe.

Stroman definitely doesn't fit my team as well as my other starters. I'd love to drop a hitter, but I've got a real man-crush on jesus aguilar, and I rotate him, inciarte and puig into my last util spot

Also, what are your thoughts on schoop getting his feet back under him? I made a trade a few weeks ago where I sent dee gordon and chris archer for bumgarner and schoop. I'm giving schoop a long leash, but he's starting to get under my skin.

I bought into Schoop's new approach -- I chose poorly. Improvement is likely, really can't get worse. Landing point likely isn't as high as I initially expected for this season (what's done is done, talking rest of season numbers won't prorate to full season expectations).
