Who to drop to claim Adam Jones in Roto?

#1 Post by MaestroJay »

12 Team 5x5 AVG Roto daily lineup

R - 11
HR - 10
RBI - 6
SB - 11
AVG - 4

W - 12
SV - 3
K - 6
ERA - 10
WHIP - 6

C - Contreras
1B - Goldy
2B - Albies
3B - Devers
SS - Story
OF - Blackmon/Marte/Polanco
uTIL - Rosario/Kinsler
BN - Suarez/Belt (1B/OF)

SP - Strausburg/severino
RP - Vazquez/Treinen
P - O'Day/Stecknrider/Fulmer/Godley
BN - Quintana/Samardzija/S.Gray

I'm torn who to drop to make a claim on Adam Jones With a lack of multi position guys, and the two coldest just having hits in 2 of their last 3 games. Also with no 2B depth, unsure if Kinsler would be a drop. Looking at RP O'Day is atleast capable of getting SVs right now which is inticing. While Stecknrider can help with K's and ratios.

Not a believer in Fulmer to outright drop him in a 12 team Roto? Or is the lack of K's and FIP/Xfip concerning? Was thinking maybe one of Kinsler/O'Day/Stecknrider. The HR scare me a bit with O'Day though it is a super small sample.

I've been saying to drop Fulmer from the beginning. He's a drain in K and W in this format.

As mentioned a few posts ago, this league SCREAMS having high-K relievers active so you can be more judicious with spot starters. This allows dropping (or trading) some back-end starters to free up bench space for hitters to make sure your Monday and Thursday lineups are as full as possible.

FYI- no need to take the time to post your standings EVERY time.
