Trolling through the sludge of starting pitchers I'm debating the merits of adding Purcey as I'm short on K's......but certainly aware of the possible hit to ERA and WHIP. If Hughes were to be called up today (players called up on Sunday are not eligible to be picked up that week......league rule) would you go after him instead? He's been a tease for the past 2 years but is currently toying with AAA hitters. Gut says to take the Hughes flyer.....say $3 FAAB. I'll be dropping Bruney as his injury is looking ominous. Bergenson (rookie in the AL East), Bannister (no K's), Tejada, Veras, Okijima and Springer are other options.
