I have an offer, I receive Alex Avila and Will Middlebrooks for J.P. Arencibia and L. Overbay

Avila would become my only Catcher and Middlebrooks would becomes my CI (w/ Plouffe on the DL)

It seems like a good move, fair, etc...

Opinions?

I know it seems right to sell high on Overbay and acquiring Middlebrooks would be good .. BUT I think that is counterbalanced too much by your loss at C - Arencibia doesn't have a great BA BUT it is 20+ points better than Avila and he gets you a lot more HR and RBI

I would not make that trade
Perhaps you could offer Overbay and something else he needs for Middlebrooks and leave the catchers out of the trade
