several decisions - all thoughts appreciated

Get advice specific to your team. This can be opinions on trades, free agent or waiver pickups, who to start or even just "rate my team". It is helpful if you provide sufficient details regarding your league format and team composition.

several decisions - all thoughts appreciated

#1 Post by viper »

This is a very different league. Lineups are weekly and weekly scoring is based on relative place among the 14 teams so the best score of the week gets a 13 and the worst a zero. For bridge players, this sounds familiar and it should as multiple life masters are in this league. This is the second of three free agent drafts. The final one is August 20

The Hitting Category [yes, singular] is Runs&RBI
The Pitching category is Wins

Questions:
We need a catcher. The options will be Jesus Montero, Sal Perez, Yas Grandal & Wilin Rosario. Can people please rank these guys?

Rank the following OFs - Alex Rios, Carlos Quentin, John Jay & Tyler Colvin, Justin Rugganio

If possible, list the top 4-5 pitchers from the following group

Cashner, Andrew
Duensing, Brian
Quintana, Jose
Millwood, Kevin
Noesi, Hector
Richards, Garrett
Morales, Franklin
Young, Chris
Blackley, Travis
Kendrick, Kyle
Eovaldi, Nathan
Villanueva, Carlos
Ramirez, Erasmo
Axelrod, Dylan
McAllister, Zach
Fiers, Michael
Correia, Kevin
Lyles, Jordan
Cecil, Brett
Marquis, Jason
Bauer, Trevor

Many thanks. The draft is Wednesday evening

Rank the following OFs - Alex Rios, Carlos Quentin, John Jay & Tyler Colvin, Justin Rugganio
1) Colvin - yeah going with the hot hand and I think Colorado needs to really see what they have there
2) Rios
3) Quentin - hoping for a favorable trade
--------------
4) Jay
5) Ruggiano

If possible, list the top 4-5 pitchers from the following group - BASED on WHAT?

the "WHAT" is just WINS.

Right now Blanton is far superior to Kershaw in this format. Pundants say never chase wins but if that is the only category you chase it. The simple strategy is to start any and all 2-start pitchers and then fill-in with 1-start stuids [Kershaw is our only one] followed by best match-ups available.
