has anyone seen him live? I'm getting completely sucked in by his numbers even though he's in the low minors and he's a college pitcher so he probably had a bit of a headstart...

last year in rookie ball: 1.75 ERA, 51.3 innings, 35 hits, 6 BB, 80 K
this year in high-A: 0.32 ERA, 28 IP, 12 hits, 6 BB, 37 K

Drafted out of Rice where he was a closer by Cincinnati who decided they wanted to stretch him out and make him a SP.

Obviously last year was very good...BUT remember he was much older than most players in rookie ball.

Good start this year in A ball (though he should be moved up to AA to see if this continues against more experienced competition)

The other thing we need to see is if he can develop his secondary pitches - in the minors he can blow hitters away with his fastball (94 mph) but as we know in the big leagues hitters will adjust to any speed if the pitches are without movement.

Still a good pitcher to watch - Thanks for the note

I think he's actually in high-A now.
