Wilson and Madson
What do you think the chances are for these two to be closers next season? In NL-only is it worth holding Madson, who would be 14 next year? Wilson was dropped, and will be available in FAAB this weekend. Is he worth a low bid (next year salary would be 5 more than the winning FAAB bid)? Have 6 bench spots, no DL.

Unless you are dumping this year those roster spots are way to valuable to fill with players you can't use for a year

I'll take it a step further and say even if you had the DL spots, I would not go down that road. The chances of either being a closer on opening day are extremely remote. They will be babied, not worked twice in a row, etc. You'll then almost be forced to pick up their handcuff, who will be overpriced, giving back at least part of the "savings". So you will be using 2 roster spots for 1 closer which is a handicap in NL only, unless the handcuff is a guy you would have anyway.
And, it is a keeper league so you should be able to deal for saves from the non-competing teams.

Take a look at Brian's column yesterday about waiting for Wainwright. Very insightful. Also, IMHO - for every Joe Nathan, there's a B.J. Ryan. And remember - this is strike two for Wilson - you can Google it but someone put out a piece on the lack of success pitchers have had coming back from TWO TJ surgeries.
These are my views based on my own opinions and observations - your mileage may vary.

Just closing the loop (pun intended) - Wilson went for $3, and I hung onto Madson. I probably won't keep him all year, but I have no use for the bench spot at this point. The FA's are dregs in this league.
My bench (6): Howard (DL), Paredes (minors), Madson (DL), Stauffer (DL), Mujica, Thatcher.
Pollock, CNelson, Burnett are "holes" in my lineup.
Howard and Stauffer should fill 2 of those, at some point.
