We we be holding a mid season draft in NL 5x5 keeper league. I currently hold Teheran, gerrit cole, Alonso and matzek who I will drop. I have 3 picks but will only use two unless cole gets drafted by an AL team.

I should have no. 1 and no 5 picks and am considering

Goldschmidt
Blackmon
Grandal
Carlos Martinez
Tony Sanchez
Gary Brown
Jaff Decker
Thomas Neal
wilmer Flores

Would appreciate a ranking and any insight. Looking for best roto player, not necessarily 2011 help.

I am confused by this > "I currently hold Teheran, gerrit cole, Alonso and matzek who I will drop"

Does that mean you will drop Matzek? Matzek and Alonzo? all of them?
Dropping Teheran would be a HUGE mistake
Dropping Cole if he is drafted by an NL team is potentially a HUGE mistake
Dropping Alonzo (presumably Yonder Alonzo) is questionable
I am not a huge Matzek fan but if you already have him why would you drop him?

Okay below is my ranking......but you have to know that Goldschmidt is a huge swing or miss player - I drafted him before this season, based on what I saw personally in spring training and he has had an ernormous breakout season in AA (normally a pitcher's league).......but I fight myself with his long term ranking - fortunately I don't have to make a decision on that until next spring.

Grandal - yes there is Mesoraco but one if not both (trade) will emerge as very good starting catchers
Goldschmidt - see above, but man if he was at 1B in Arizona...Chase Field plus visits to Coors
Gary Brown - solid prospect when they clear room in that outfield
------------
Tony Sanchez - could be solid NL catcher for years
Carlos Martinez - haven't checked his stats this year but might belong in first group (still young pitchers....)
Wilmer Flores - IF Reyes is traded or not re-signed
----------
Jaff Decker - maybe
Thomas Neal - no longer a real prospect

I am holding alonso, Teheran and cole if he is drafted by a NL team. Only matzek will be dropped
