A's Bailey diagnosed with strained forearm
The Athletics announced Tuesday that Andrew Bailey was diagnosed with a strained right forearm.
The diagnosis was made following a visit to Dr. James Andrews. The statement says that Bailey "experienced no swelling and can resume throwing when asymptomatic." There's no timetable for his return, but it doesn't appear as though there is any structural damage, which is obviously an excellent sign. Fantasy owners should still grab Brian Fuentes and/or Grant Balfour for now, but it sounds as if Bailey dodged a bullet here.
