Todd's Article on Shallow/Deep Leagues

#1 Post by Black Sox »

Todd,

Just wanted to give thanks to Todd's recent article on Shallow vs Deep and Auction vs Snake. With the creation of the NFBC, I really feel that too many people have looked down on shallow mixed leagues as not requiring a whole lot of skill. Many friends make comments like " how hard is it to just pick the best all star available?" You'd be surprised how many excellent deep league players get their clocks cleaned because they can't adjust to the differences between the two. In my leagues JD Drew is where he belongs.... on the wire!

BTW Todd even in my 10 team mix 2 Molina's get picked :)

Thanks.

The Molina line was a lot better 3 years ago when Bengie was very good and Yadier was still middling.

I'll think of a new comparison for next year.

Yeah... I should have caught that in editing. Mind starts to go numb after the 14th line of a Zola sentence. Dude is to commas what water is to Gremlins.

Always glad to see a nice Gremlins reference.

How do I access this zola article?
(can someone post a link or something?)

Also - there used to be hundreds of awesome articles here somewhere and now I can't find them.

(like for examples winning tendencies and such)

The article in question is available for premium subscribers.

While hundreds of other articles is a bit of hyperbole, we are working on getting some of the free archives posted again, including Winning Tendencies.

One of my favorite Mastersball articles ever written.
I tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something I loved from my childhood. Something that could never ever possibly destroy us. Mr. Stay Puft! We used to roast Stay-Puft marshmallows, by the fire, at Camp Waconda.
