I wanted to see how much impact your modified category weightings actually had when compared to 1's across the board. Using the 1/16 spreadsheet, I generated value with your modifications and came up with my mock draft dollar projections. After clearing out a few unused columns [2B, 3B] for $value storage, I reran the model with 1's across the board. The model I ran had a player pool of 30 catchers and 180 OF.

My initial run had 470 players valuated. The ONES run had 467. Missing were Omar Infante, Brandon Inge and Joe Inglet. These were in rows 212, 213 & 214.

Color me confused.

I would suggest trying your "category weight experiment" with the 2/1 CVRC as I know Todd made some updates between the two versions (1/16 vs 2/1). Not saying it will make more sense, but it is at least worth a try first. It sounds like it is some kind of sorting issue.

Off the top of my head, i would make sure the league designation of the players did not get affected.

Past that, I would need to know exactly what was done so I can reproduce it and debug it.
