Mixed pickups

#1 Post by alleyoops »

14 team mixed 5x5. Ryan Garko, Chris Snyder, and Mike Fontenot were dropped last week by their owners. Others likely to draw interest are Duncan and Griffey.

I have needs at all positions. Any of these worth a decent-sized FAAB bid?

On the pitching side, is Justin Masterson worth a shot?

It's hard to ignore Duncan when he's going as well as he is. Just be prepared to replace him when he cools off.

Agreed -- all these guys are the type that will jump on and off rosters in a league this size. I don't like riding streaks, but understand it has become part of the game as it has evolved.

I do like Masterson for this week, despite a couple of potentially powerful offenses. I am a big believer in home starts and feel with their bullpen, Masterson will not be left hanging if he struggles.
