Brandon Lowe and chronic back issues

#1 Post by CubFan »

What's your take on Lowe for the rest of the season.....keeper value in 2024? He's dealing with a herniated disk and probably out till at least the AS break, possibly longer. He's had back issues in the past and it's now become chronic IMO. He's got the skill set to bash 30 HRs in a season with a good OBP but will he ever get there again? He's available via FAAB in my 12 team AL only 5x5 H2H keeper league. I dropped him but wonder if it's worth throwing a small bid to get him back. I've got 26 of 100 FAAB units left. My MIs are Walls, Royce Lewis and Bichette. Waiting for Story to come off the IL but that may be another 2-4 weeks.

I bought the dip on Lowe, but learned my lesson. With so many middle infielders (and Franco playing every day) even if healthy, I suspect Lowe's days of playing every day are over. Plus, we could be returning to when it's optimal to get some speed from the middle.
