Kiriloff...done for the year...2023?

#1 Post by CubFan »

Kiriloff is done for the year as he'll have another surgery on his wrist. Is he worth a spec couple FAAB $$ bid in a 12 team AL only keeper league (max of 8 keepers)? I have him so would need to drop and then bid on him one of the following weeks. There are 2-3 teams currently out of the upper division playoffs who could bid on him. I could try to sneak him next week or wait till sometime in Sep to see how the FAAB situation looks. I can afford one reserve spot for him. My big question is this will be his second surgery on his wrist and we all know how extremely important that is for maximizing power. Is the potential reward worth the risk of using up one of my keeper spots or are the probabilites that he maybe done in MLB outweigh the reward? Current keepers are Bichette $19, Suarez $17 (salary is borderline keeper), Mullins $10, Pena $16, Garver $1, Ray $13, F Bautista $1 with Jon Gray $14, Kluber $7 and Johan Duran $1 possibilities.
12 team AL only 5x5 H2H keeper league. Using OBP, W+QS and S+1/2H

C - Garver $4
1B/3B - Torkelson $1, E. Durna $3 (??)
2B/SS - Royce Lewis $2, Story $13
OF - J Duran $11, Ward $7
UT -
SP - Hunter Brown $6, Ryan $22
RP - Fairbanks $6, Duran $16
Bench -

I'm not a fan of speculative keepers. Your mileage may vary.
