CVRC and one-catcher leagues

#1 Post by mjlewis »

I used the CVRC for my league yesterday. We have 18 teams, normal rosters but one of the catcher slots has been changed to a second UT slot. The CVRC correctly priced 19 catchers at $1 or more, but they top out at Lucroy and Posey for $10, a handful at $6-8, and the bulk at $5 or less. The Fangraphs tool has Posey at $19, Lucroy and Sanchez at $14, and it goes down smoothly from there. I haven't checked any other pricing tools.

Do you think you're right and FG is wrong, or is this a bug?

Dang, it's a quirk with the forced catcher pricing algorithm.

Make MVPOS OF for everyone, use 0 catchers and 252 OF and you'll be fine.
