Keeper Quandry

#1 Post by daweasle »

Ok My league is 16 teams $260 budget and I have a pretty solid keeper list - but a few "IFFY" guys

looking for how you would rank these guys:

(scoring is not standard 5x5 - we also count OPS, doubles, and walks for hitters. We count QS and losses for pitchers)

Here's my potential keepers - (I can keep any combination as long as it's 6 players less than $75 total value)

Victor Martinez $1 - if he's even remotely healthy he's a steal at this price. (qualifies at C in my league)
Billy Butler $4 - a steal
Adam Laroche - $1 - a steal
Alex Rios $3

Max Scherzer $6 - I think he's guaranteed 200 K - that close to $6 right?
Dan Straily - $1 - If he is the As #4 or 5 starter - he could provide solid value?
Jarrod Parker $1
Rafael Soriano $1

Corey Hart - $3 - hate the news he may miss the first 3-6 weeks of the season - but he's still good for 26+ HR when he comes back right? That's gotta be worth $3!

Jimmy Rollins - $16

Gotta whittle this list down to the best 6 - (PLEASE HELP)

I would keep
Victor Martinez $1
Billy Butler $4
Adam Laroche - $1
Alex Rios $3
R. Soriano $1
and then Parker or Scherzer

You can't keep Hart even at $3 with better options AND the unknown about when he comes back AND the real possiblilty that after he is back they trade him IF Gamel shows he belongs

Soriano is a must keep at a buck. Good bye Hart and lock down Scherzer.

Butler
Rios
Laroche
