From a conversation with a friend, the question came up concerning who is the best hitting pitcher. So here is the three part question.
1. Who is the best hitting pitcher currently playing?
2. Who is the best hitting pitcher since 1950?
3. Who is the best hitting pitcher of all-time? Note Babe Ruth is not an acceptable answer.

1) Carlos Zambrano (longer track record although Daniel Hudson is good)
2) Don Newcombe
3) not sure at all on that

Re: Best Hitting Pitcher
my choices were Zambrano, Drysdale but Newcombe was the only other I considered & The Big Train, only because on a Nats telecast they mentioned that Johnson led all pitchers in career RBI.
