Is Gallardo a guy to target as a buy-low? He had breakout written all over him coming into 2012 yet he's struggled mightily thus far. He's still striking guys (9.1 K/9) out but his walk rate (4.4) is pretty awful leading to some ugly ratios (5.04 era, 1.52 whip). His ratios were much better in the 2nd half last year so is this just a repeat with some bad luck thrown in? Is there any reason to think he won't turn it around? I'm considering a deal of him and Mike Young for Arenado, who is one of my best prospects so I want to get the best return I can for him to make a run.

If I understand you correctly, you're in it to win in this yr (make a run). If I could get Gallardo/M.Young for Arenado in those circumstances, oh yes I would.
