Chisenhall or Nishioka

#1 Post by viper »

Chisenhall is available in FAAB tonight with a 1am deadline.

I can move Cuddyer to MI or CO. Not that I will get him but is he an upgrade or not. Rest of year projections just out say Nishioka is better but I think Chisenhall got called up earlier than expected. This would be an all-in bid but $0 are allowed. My gut is to not even bid.

sorry, missed this last night....

What I would have said is I expect something around .250/.260 for Chisenhall with a little pop. Nishioka is a wild card, he could hit .220 or .320.

If it was strictly a power vs. speed thing, the answer would dictate itself.

if that were irrelevant, for me, it would have been a choice of accepting that from Chisenhall or needing more from Nishioka, with the risk of getting less.

I decided to pass. I could have gotten him with pretty much an all-in bid - he went for $6. I had just 10 out of 100 FAAB dollars left. I would have bid all 10 for him if I felt he was the guy I truly wanted. We can make $0 bids and $10 is too small for cross-over players at the trade deadline.

I usually use that last $10 to make $1 bids when others are making $0 bids on those weaker guys who help after injuries.

As normal, I make a decision and do not look back.

Sorry Mike - I missed this one too yesterday. I am a Chisenhall fan (own him in my dynasty league) but I don't think you'll regret passing that much. I think that Nishioka should provide more consistent value for the rest of the year.
