AL MI's

#1 Post by yankee7 »

AL only 5x5...My weak link this year.

I have both Sean Rodriguez and Reid Brignac.

Are Scott Sizemore and/or Trevor Plouffe better options?

Also...Thoughts on Alex White for this year?

I'd certainly give Sizemore a shot over Brignac. Plouffe does nothing for me.

And until he plays full time or does better with the at bats he has, Sizemore is justified over S-Rod.

White's K/BB was very good on the farm, but he has limited experience higher than Double-A. We can pretty much use a canned response with any talented rookie pitcher -- he's a rookie, he will have his ups and downs. How well the league adjusts and then how well he adjusts back will tell the story. I like the fact he misses bats, as opposed to many of the Tribe starters. It is unclear if he will stick all season, though I don't see J Gomez or Talbot blocking him if he shows he can handle MLB hitters.

Worth a speculative shot in an AL only? Sure.
