What's the deal with him? MB doesn't list him in their projections. He had visa problems according to Rotoworld but he is Atlanta now and has actually pitched in a game.

off the 40-man, non-roster invitee, MB doesn't see him making the team and still doesn't.

I know he was outrighted back in November of last year - but, from every source I've seen (Cot's BB Contracts, BB Cube, RotoWorld, etc.), they have him on the books for anywhere in the neighborhood for $6-$7 Mil this season. Seems strange that the Braves would outright such a huge salary.

I get the impression that for whatever reason, they see it as addition by subtraction. They were hoping he would return to Japan or trade him. Maybe they are showcasing him now, but I still have not seen enough to think he will be with the team this season,
