who do you like better long-term?
does either have #1 or #2 potential?
thanks
Mike Minor or Chris Sale
Re: Mike Minor or Chris Sale
Both were very polished pitchers coming into this year's draft....both have at least #2 starter potential
That said long term, I will take Minor - for one thing (at least to start - we never know about future trades) he will be in the NL; for another his usage pattern is not getting messed with.
Now Sale has had ridiculous success in the minors since signing but it is very few innings. I think his future would be better as a SP but otoh if you have a future closer especially at a cheap price then that would be great too (but even if Jenks is out of the South Side next year there are still Thornton and Santos with more experience).
ETA - reports are the the Braves will recall Minor to make his first start next Monday, so IF he sticks in the Atlanta rotation he will have more value this year as well as long term
