Team Evaluation - can this team win it? 9 tm NL Only

#1 Post by daweasle »

Is this team good enough to compete for 1st or 2nd place in a 9 tm NL Only?

I like the idea that this could work - just cannot figure out if I have too many scrubs.

What do you think?

C McCann, Brian
C Molina, Bengie
1B Sanchez, Gaby
2B Iwamura, Akinori
3B Zimmerman, Ryan
SS Desmond, Ian
MI Reyes, Jose
CI Rolen, Scott
OF Bay, Jason
OF Hawpe, Brad
OF McLouth, Nate
OF Bruce, Jay
OF Gary Matthews
UT Ryan, Brendan
UT Manzella, Tommy

SP1 Johan Santana
SP2 Chris Carpenter
SP3 Carlos Zambrano
SP4 Kevin Correia
SP5 Daniel McCutcheon
P Jamie Moyer
P Pedro Feliciano
P Luke Gregerson
RP Francisco Rodriguez
RP Fransisco Cordero

4x4 or 5x5?

But that team looks fine to me. Although 9 team is hard to judge as opposed to 12-13 team NL league

With the exception of gary mathews, you pretty much have a team of regulars..It hinges on the Playing time of the youngsta's Ian and gaby and Tommy Manzella....

I would be looking to work the wire to grab the hot Pitcher and dump the Moyer and mccutcheons if they dont start out well....
