League Trading

#1 Post by andrew_schug »

Any ideas that would promote more trading in a league? I run a 12 team mixed league with 21 roster spots (9 offense(c,1b,2b,3b,ss,3 of, util), 9 pitching, 3 bench). I have this thought that adding additional roster spots would entice teams to trade more since fewer players will be available via free agency. Idk.

Trading is mostly about the personality of the league, not about the rules. Personally, I prefer to let things happen organically.

That said, these settings yield a very shallow league. Most leagues have 13 or 14 active hitting spots with 9 pitching (adding 1 C, MI, CI and 2 OF to your current lineup).
