DFS Cash Strategy - 10/20/50/100?

#1 Post by rotologo »

Wondering what the difference is strategy-wise and/or odds-wise in playing a $1 cash game with 10, 20, 50 or 100 players? I can never decide.

Thanks!

One of the DFS-dedicated sites may be able to speak more towards the odds and/or know the relative cash lines in the different size tourneys. For me, I play them all in the same manner.

1. Don't get cute with pitching -- play the best pitcher in the best spot, don't worry about price. In two pitcher sites, don't have to use the next best ace, but pay for floor, not ceiling.
2. Focus on hitters in the top-five spots in the order.
3. Don't stack unless the players are fine as an individual standalone.
4. Avoid a platoon player likely to be lifted for a pinch-hitter
5. Don't get hung up on L/R and R/L, same side good hitter vs. lesser pitcher is fine.
6. If after trying to set hitters you think about paying down for pitching, see #1.
