NFBC DC Express

#1 Post by Todd Zola »

My open weekends are getting scant so I jumped into a NFBC DC Express. It was a rather hectic start as i was triple-tasking, trying to get an on-line auction issue fixed while on the phone for a SiriusXH hit so I'm not thrilled with the start, OTOH, not sure what I would have done differently.

Looks pretty solid to me. Maybe a little light on steals? If Capps wins the closer gig you have 3 closers and maybe more, plus a solid core of starters on top of that.

Selling out on pitching early and then missing on the OF tier with steals (Burns, DeShields, Inciarte - etc) cost me. I'm OK being void of steals if everything else is OK. Would like another SP and another OF but there just isn't anything.

In retrospect, I'm not as sure steals are THAT low. Sure, I would have liked to have someone on reserve to plug in to put me over the top, but I see a few stealth low to mid double digit guys (e.g. Altheer, Rosario) that get the total up higher than could be perceived.

I really need Capps to close - that's a big key.
