Re: ROUND 25 Pick 8 Mike Aviles 2B/3B

#11 Post by deansdaddy » March 18th, 2012, 10:00 am

I'm going to go for another multi positional super UT guy in Aviles. He comes in with 2B/3B eligibility and will add SS to the resume in a couple weeks. With he and Murphy on the roster - I should be able to weather whatever injury issues hit my squad in the early going.

Aviles brings a nice little power/speed profile capable of 15/15 with regular playing time.

Don't have much time but I'm encouraged by his strong outing yesterday. I'm not investing a lot in him so if he gets hurt or whatever, I can go FAAB route. But he could be very effective and help out my rotation.

Will play full time for at least the first two months while Howard rehabs. Love the power. If he performs, the Phillies will have to find a place for him.
