Park Factors/Influence on Player Stats

#1 Post by Chancellor »

Todd,

Could you find and re-post the articles you referenced relative to Park Factors and their influence on player statistics? The comment about a larger OF reducing team strikeouts was an interesting one, and I'd like to see what you've found based on your research in this area.

Thanks!

A larger outfield doesn't affect strikeouts, just hits. Strikeouts (and walks) can be influenced by foul territory, batter's eye, atmospheric conditions altering ball movement -- stuff like that.
