New to the format but wanted to give it a try...any strategy tips for starting out?

Draft like you would a real baseball team -- on base and defense matter. Don't ignore pitching, it's not like roto where you can "manage" it. Don't sweat an MLB "closer". You want a reliever with good stats.

After you draft your foundation of every day players and the pool thins, focus on platoons. It's easiest to do a couple OF platoons.

Have fun, it's a great game and Jeff Barton, the guy in charge, is the best.
