Impact of changes on keepers...

12 team 5X5 Roto, daily moves league (Standard Cats, innings max/mins). C,1B,2B,SS,3B,OF,OF,OF,UTIL,UTIL, and I think 7 active P slots, where you can rotate in/out SP/RP, then 5 batter or pitching bench slots (22 players on each roster). League also has 4 DL slots, when MLB puts players on DL, they can be there.
League has been in existence 5 or 6 years. This year we are losing 1, or possibly 2 owners. All those players will be going back into the eligible/draft pool (not surprisingly those teams weren't full of talent though). The league has also voted to include a CI and MI (of note to me, the league did not expand rosters by 2 to now include CI,MI...guessing that benches are even tighter now, at 3).
What are the general thoughts here on what these changes do to drafting/building a team? Obviously, dropping from 12 down to 11 or 10 mean I should have a decent chance to acquire talent through the draft, but adding a CI and MI, and dropping the bench down to 3 have me questioning things. Having to field 12 bats basically every day (and only 3 total bench slots for all players) makes me think I have to dedicate all my early resources to batters. I think my proposed P keepers should keep me competitive, if I can get some late drafted help/sleepers/pick ups during the season a P.
If we go down to 11 teams, I'll be drafting at 1.10:
Was going to consider keeping Verlander in place of 1st rd, probably not now, thoughts?
Keep Wainright as RD8
Keep Bumgarner as RD13
Keep Latos as RD14
Keep Adam Jones as RD5?
Keep Choo as RD7?
Keep Hosmer as RD10?
Keep Ian Desmond as RD11?
Keep Kipnis as RD12?
Keep Melky as RD10?
These keepers seem less and less exciting given this is going from 12 team down to 11, or even 10. Most the rest of my team isn't worth keeping, or can't as they were 1st or 2nd round draftees that have to go back (Made several late season trades going for a championship that didn't work out..gave up cheap Trout, Stanton, Goldy and others...arrgh).
Not sure what to do with this team???
