Trade or Stand?
In my 16 team H2H league, dump season has started. I am sitting 2nd and I am wondering if I should stay the course, or look for a rental. Two factors to consider are the MASH unit--hopefully Carlos Carrasco and Luis Roberts will be 100% by September--and that this is a keeper league. Escobar, Morton...

Re: Final Draft Roster
I went with Cedric Mullins, which worked out well. The team is a MASH unit. The WW raises the question of whether the Rangers improved pitching is a function of the new ballpark, better defense, team skill at tuning pitchers, all of the above, or just a statistical fluke. Is Dane Dunning anywhere ne...

Interesting. Kikuchi is highest on the default rankings, then Odorizzi and Houk. I like Dunning because of the still-new ballpark and improved defense, but he's down the list a ways. I think he and Keller can wait a round or three, since prospecting is getting serious. Are Puig and Osuna going to pl...

2021 Team Defense
Cleveland has been putting some stellar D behind their SP for a few years. The Angels just the opposite. It's no wonder to me that one team is developing pitching well and the other is not. Mid draft adjustments
There is an older thread on this team. It's 16 team H2H with OBA and holds (Sv and Hld are seperate stats). We draft 30 man rosters and play 22, so the rosters double as farm system. We have three forever keepers. In addition, there is an incremental option system, which both increases the cost and ...

Re: Offer for Darvish
Just for laughs.
One of the other managers threw all four of these back in, but he's keeping Carlos Correa.
Numbers are ADP. Except Urquidy, all should be no-brainers at their respective prices.
Joe Musgrove * 109
Tyler Mahle * 156
Chris Bassitt * 200
Jose Urquidy * 220

He didn't go for it, but I got a different big fish--Garritt Cole. Cole and Hyun Jin Ryu for Christian Yelich and a draft pick worth roughly #100. Offer for Darvish
In my 16 team league, it is known that I am in the market for pitching. Yu Darvish's own wants me to make an offer. It's a keeper league with three absolute and a complex option system. I have Christian Yelich and can keep him forever, or until he's only the fourth best player. I also have Acuna, Ro...

Re: How does this look going into the draft?
The guy did not go for the Devers/Yelich deal.
I did a get a deal for a second closer. Anthony Santander (+4 option years) for Liam Hendricks (+1).
Santander is basically free to her for three years, with options for two more. I get Hendricks for this year and next.

Re: How does this look going into the draft?
OK I was looking at the fallout of the Cleveland/NYMets trade. obviously that is good for me, since it bumps Carlos Carrasco closer to ace status. Re: How does this look going into the draft?
Interesting. Gallen was the same cut off that I came up with, at least if he's the best player offered. One of the ironies, Darvish was my target. I had to settle for Carrasco. I can see sense in Kiriloff. He should be 1B eligible not long after he promotes. If I did that, France covers 2B, 3B, CI, ...

Re: How does this look going into the draft?
I can have a pick in the late 200s for either or both of Kiner-Falefa or Ty France. One can be swapped for either Kiriloff or Royce Lewis, but only one. Kalenic is not an option.
Candelario will be 1B/3B/CI.
Would you dangle Yelich in an attempt to get an elite SP?

Yes, K is forever. Anyone from rounds 4-7 must be released or kept with a K. This is two full rounds from last season, ie rounds 4 and 5. The other picks were players kept on option. I will have two picks in this range, roughly at Moustakas and Puig, then nothing for 80 picks. Villar Strausburg Abre...

Re: Pseudo-Dynasty team.
Power look very light -- Roberts, Ellsbury and Borbon seem like overkill. I'm not sure if both Borbon and Ellsbury are best/necessary with only 9 active hitters. In a dynasty format, I believe keeping pitching is necessary. Nothing wrong with Greinke and Wandy. EJax and Bell however do not give me ...
