The whole "mining for pitching on the wire" thing really doesn't work as well in this format because the type of pitcher that emerges from the WW typically doesn't rise to the level of worthiness for a league this shallow. There will be teams in this league that trot out 2 Aces, 2 #2's an...

Gio Gonzalez - According to ESPN's Keith Law, the Athletics have agreed to trade Gio Gonzalez to the Nationals for prospects A.J. Cole, Brad Peacock, Derek Norris and Tommy Milone. i have been pondering this signing and it just doesnt make sense to me. I agree that Parra might have had a nice bump offensively this year. The drop off from Parra to Kubel defensively is about 20 runs or so. Does Kubel make up 20 runs over him offensively? The only way this makes 100% sense to me ...

I think I would make this trade .....Huge improvement getting two solid P and only piece your losing is Cruz. sliding Ethier in for Cruz inho will only cost you a few HRs. i picked up or kept Kuo in a few leagues starting the year figuring that Broxton was hiding a problem cause he fell so far off the cliff last year. Kuo's own DL trip couldn't have come at a worst time of the year cause i think it gave Padilla the inside route. Here i am hoping that Padilla gets a fe...

Perry hit the nail on the head for me with his #3. To many times owners fail to look at the merits of the trade by itself but vote based on how the trade affects them. As for Todd's article i think he briefly touches on keeper leagues but in a keeper league situation i think the trade dynamics chang...

I like Perry's advice here. McClure makes the most sense to me because he is doing well, has a nice k/bb ratio right now and the Reds are scoring a lot of runs in support. plus if Bailey takes longer than advertised you still have the spot covered. Lohse is hot right now and would take a chance on hi...

Stick with the better player chasing hot hitters will many times hurt you in the long run. Inevitably the minute you take out Pence he goes on a tear. Now in a daily league it wont
hurt as much but in weekly transaction leagues it seems llike the minute i bench a cold player he starts to get hot.

See i disagree a tiny bit......if there is a player that you need don't be afraid to spend. A player bought in April affects your team much much more than one in Sept. I also have been in leagues were everyone saves faab and then bids get higher at the end cause people have money to burn.
