Re: 042322 UPDATE
I think I would like the file emailed to me. Too many other numbers are wrong. For example, Owen Miller would have 100 TB on just 22 hits. A very difficult task for all but maybe Trout. I believe you have my email. I haven't looked at the pitchers file yet but suppose it is OK.

As a Gold Subscription holder, my last available update was 042322. Given it has Josh Lowe's ROS at 87 hits for 138 ABs, I am afraid to use any of the numbers in the download. The hit numbers are way off. It does appear that the BA are correct. Can I just back into Hits and be OK?

If you are in a slow draft, the Google spreadsheet is an unbelievable tool. The updating after a pick is a bit slow but Todd said as much in his video. slight CVRC tweak for 2013
Could you put in the option for all UT or a single pool setup? I like to make a run and determine the true raw value for a catcher. That way I can see just how much they are effected by being a unique category with their own replacement value. I overwrote you pool formula an set all to OF to get my ...

CVRC Question on final pool players
I feel it is unlikely that exactly the right number of players will fill all positions. I can see that this year you are forcing the required number of positive valued catchers. Using the NFBC as an example, in prior years for the pool of 210 starting position players, there would only be about 20 c...

Re: Yahoo League questions
Mike, I tried this a couple of years ago and found that Yahoo would not allow me to run multiple teams off of a single computer. Rotowire might and it's pretty reasonably priced. If I was the commissioner of the league, wouldn't I be able to change lineups. I can find 13 others to "officially&...

New League I joined with interesting rules/format
I joined a league which is a bit different. I am partnering with someone I know and must admit I am still learning a few things about the rules. But what I have learned so far makes the league quite unique. It may seem simple but as I have heard it said “Not so fast my friend” The league has 14 team...

my understanding is that the results from the prior week and this weeks current lineup are out by noon Monday.
I need to post on the leagues and it's unusual setup and several clever rules. That is now next on my agenda.

Yahoo League questions
First off, I have no intentions to play a free Yahoo League but I have some questions about them. 1. Can you set up a free 14 team private league. 2. If so, can one owner have more than one team. 3. If so, can you pick and choose categories and positional eligibility requirements I am joining a rath...

Inflation - what exactly is it
Inflation is a term bandied around and I’m not sure I have the best definition. Here is what I think it is and you can correct me. First, I am referring to how it applies to auction leagues, assuming it can be applied to non-auction leagues. I view it as the dollar amount a player goes for, in a spe...

Tiers and Draft Position
Currently the Premium section is voting on KDS for a 12-team NFBC Draft & Hold League. To date with very few voting, I am the only one opting for a near middle draft slot. Todd, or someone, tell me where the following thought process fails. I am a believer in tier drafting. I also believe that w...

Not a fantasy question per se but one from a Nats fan in Virginia. Everything in papers here is obviously tainted and I am curious about outsider's opinio...

Pitching Stats wanted - NFBC access needed
A couple of requests: 1. Where can I find the final MLB ERA/WHIP stats by league for the entire 2011 season? I would also want to see the same numbers for the past 2-3 years. 2. I do not have an NFBC team for the first time. Previously, people without teams could see the overall numbers in all ten c...

Re: Too early to speculate on 1st rounders next year?
I find it interesting to see Ogando mentioned given his lack of a track record. I'm not saying I disagree because, not having him this year, I admit I haven't followed his progress aside from the fact the Rangers considered capping his innings and now, in the hunt, they seem to be revising their dec...

Intra-Leagues Trades to Date
Here is what I think is the list of players switching leagues that may have fantasy significance THIS year. I have not included any minor leaguers. Maybe someone could start a thread of those if they wanted. To date, these are the players the FAAB hoarders saved their money for. Please add to this l...

Re: Prado returning - who to release?
"Maybe trade Furcal and Carroll for a real player?" Nice idea but not realistic in this league with these owners. The same basic group plays in four leagues. To date there have been 28 trades or an average of seven in each league. Most owners are pretty savvy and don't trade for essential...

10-team, NL only, standard 5x5 categories. This is a no bench league. I have a four in SBs. The five has 78. I have 65. Behind me are a 61 and two 53s. The 61 has Rollin, Werth and Schafer as SB threats. My main guys are McCutchen & Bartlett. I'm an eight in average with no immediate downside [u...

From ESPN ... this is totally nuts. ST. And now, the rest of the story ... And the conclusion to the story is I now have Chisenhall. I targeted Chisenhall with Dirks as the contingency. We started with $200 and I had $59 left. Old School .vs. New School Managers
This is an observation/opinion more than a fantasy thought but it does have fantasy implications. As a Nats follower, I have seen a significant upheaval in managers this past few weeks. Riggleman was more of a small ball manager trying to manufacture runs. The Nats feature a bunch for woeful average...

Re: Need advice on pitching rotation strategy going forward
Personally, I would ditch Broxton, move Harang to that slot and get the best ERA/WHIP/K starting pitcher available. When Harang returns, I would drop someone and add Harang back into my daily SP rotation schedule. At some point I would release another closer for another ERA/WHIP/K SP. I realize ther...

Re: Chisenhall or Nishioka
I decided to pass. I could have gotten him with pretty much an all-in bid - he went for $6. I had just 10 out of 100 FAAB dollars left. I would have bid all 10 for him if I felt he was the guy I truly wanted. We can make $0 bids and $10 is too small for cross-over players at the trade deadline. I us...

Chisenhall is available in FAAB tonight with a 1am deadline. I can move Cuddyer to MI or CO. Not that I will get him but is he an upgrade or not. Who to release - Getz or Ryan?
By my league's rules, I must release or activate Tsuyoshi Nishioka on Wednesday. The only two candidates to get bumped are Brendan Ryan and Chris Getz. I'm inclined to keep Getz as his counting stats are better. Does anyone want to weigh in with an opinion? Nish has shown nothing to date but most si...

Rios and "riding the storm out"
I have Rios in both my AL-only leagues. I drafted him in one league and traded Brett Anderson for him in another. [The trade was one or two starts before Anderson was disabled] Neither league has benches so my decision is to play him or permanently replace him. Long ago I decided that no replacement...

I had Hafner on the DL. I could activate him now but looking at the schedule, it seems a wait is an option. He has two more games against the Pirates and then a 3-pack at home against the Rockies. Following that is a 9-game NL-park road trip. Read that as 9 AB maximum. Also, I read the will give him...

Matsui was not favored by the previous manager but seems more in favor under the current regime. What are the chances he will get one inning [all I need] in the OF during the upcoming inter-league play period? The Angels start off with six straight road games and my league has 1-game eligibility.

Not three of the fantasy elite but would anyone rank them in a 5x5 AL-only fantasy league. Ignore their position eligibility, just consider their overall value. Two of the three would be active [the other released] and I can manipulate the lineups to make things legal.
