Re: Jason Dominguez
The report I've seen suggests Jasson Dominguez will be the DH for the first two weeks of his rehab. I've seen nothing about plans when he's off rehab, other than the Yankees will have to decide in 20 days whether keep him on the MLB roster or assign him to the minors.

Re: Gausman....cause for concern?
Gausman is quoted as saying he's 88-98 and essentially laughed off the issue. Of course, I am concerned, but one has to assume if Gausman was experiencing soreness, he'd let them know and not risk further injury. Gausman is at home against the Yankees next week. He'll likely be on a lot of fantasy b...

Opening in 15-Team Mixed, High Stakes Keeper League
Standard 5x5, eight keepers, five-man farm roster. We play on Fantrax with an $1100 entry, all going to the prize payout. A fun quirk is everyone starts with 1000 FAAB units, then we bid on draft spots for the draft and minor league draft. The first pick in the draft gets the last pick in the minors...

It's a defensible, and common strategy in H2H leagues. There's less margin of error, and it works best when no one else is doing it (the more doing it makes it harder to dominate offense). It's worth considering.

I have no insight as pertains to Lewis' penchant for injuries, but at $2 in and AL only, I'm keeping him without blinking an eye. Rojas is just a speed (if necessary) play.
Wells is tough, been grappling with him as well. It's not out of the realm that he turns it around and has five September starts, but it's more hope than likely.
I think if Gonzalez hits, he plays, and I like his chances more than Marlowe and Manzone.

Depending on your league rules, Kyle Manzardo is a good stash (though he could already be gone).
Josh Rojas could run a bit if Seattle plays him.

Inflation isn't linear, so I don't know about the prices, but I prefer to avoid health risks as keepers, so my lean is dealing Lowe and Judge. That said, the chief objective is fortifying this season and not worrying about next year, so I'd favor the deal I felt most improves my chances.

The reason being if you could reserve Brown if he's not pitching, that is a nice long-term play.
If it is a matter of flags fly forever, and all you care about is this season, Garcia is the safest and at a profitable price.

If you're not keeping Gausman, it's the same offer, hence analysis as before.

SB are corrected.
Fantrax doesn't use AB in their scoring, it's not one of the displayed categories.

Re: Advice
About to do radio for two hours so I have to make this quick. A list of players I like really isn't helpful. You have to like them. The best thing to do is (assuming you subscribe) is finding the players where I am higher and researching them. As for NFBC auction, pitchers are going to go much highe...

Re: Trade offered to me
I can't say with 100% certainty without having a better feel for the league, but my sense is I'd prefer Tucker over Mullins, but prefer Vlad and Mullins over Tucker.
I prefer to freeze salary than deal with inflation, but having experience in this league is what matters most.

Re: Trade offered to me
I don't know if I'd make the deal, it seems fair. Here are some points to at least consider. Tucker batted 6th 36 times last season. He hit 5th for 82 games and was 3rd/4th 28 times. I'm not concerned about a season in the six-hole. I'm also less concerned about Mullins falling into a platoon. It ap...

Jansen is worth considering, AL catching is weaker than NL catching, so he's probably mid-pack among AL backstops.

Hi - we have one opening in The Patrick B. Young League, run by Perry Van Hook. The draft is on Fantrax, starts around Jan. 24. Standard 5x5 with twice a week (Mon and Fri) moves for everyone. $1000 FAAB with weekly (Saturday night) runs. No trades. $100 entry If interested, please PM me your email ...

Sorry, the only way to enter the players is manually. The process goes pretty quickly, but there is no automated process. It's built on a standard Excel spreadsheet.

Yes, worth considering. I don't see it limiting what can be done in the auction any more than having to pay inflated prices limits what one can do.

Re: Keepers in Dynasty
Is there a separate minor league draft, or do you lump everything together so some draft prospects and others draft MLB reserves to fill out the 15 spots? If that's the approach, this is a lot like the XFL. Teams wanting to win draft spec closers, 4th outfielders etc, while rebuilding teams draft th...

I agree with India over Wong, but not De La Cruz over Hays, but that could be an irrational belief Hays isn't done. From a more practical perspective, Hays is in a better lineup, and even with the Camden Yards renovation, it's a better hitting venue than Marlins Park.

It's generally not a sophomore slump; it's most always organic regression.
Which way to go is a matter of risk aversion and ability to absorb the extra salary and what can be done with it.
Altuve is much safer, we don't know Pena's baseline. It comes down to the $11 difference.

I can't judge trade equity - too many factors. That said, I'm considering it if I have Arozarena, but can't say it's a no-brainer.
Keep in mind, the balanced schedule should help AL East (Cole, Gausman) and hurt AL Central (Bieber).

Re: Never too early keeper advice
I have a few minutes so...
First seven look fine. I'd like another solid arm to help balance some of Ray's risk, but he's worthy of the extension.
I'm a Pena fan, he'd probably be my #8.

Re: H2H single league playoff pitching strategy
In general, there are two approaches. 1) Using what you feel is the best lineup 2) Playing defense to combat what you perceive to be your opponent's lineup I usually lean to #1, but will consider #2 if my opponent is clearly strong/deficient in particular categories. A major part of the approach is ...

Carpenter is unsigned, so it would matter the team and best guess at role.
I would only keep either if I had no other option at all as a keeper. I don't like giving up the opportunity cost of the roster spot.

He turned 23 two weeks ago.
His first shot came at 21 years old, following a year with no minor league play.
I can't say whether to bid, but I can suggest cease from wondering if he's a Quad-A guy.

To me, it's more a question of philosophy than looking at my ROS numbers. With playing time questions for both, I'd rather dance with the devil I know, though Carpenter's playing time also revolves around whether the Yankees make a move, the rumor is Benintendi (which could even aid Pratto). Maybe r...

Re: Kutter Crawford vs Domingo German
Who do you think puts up better numbers in the second half? German will be throwing in front of the best offense in the AL but his FB is 1-2 ticks slower than his lowest speed since he's been in the majors and that's been borne out by his poor K-rate in the minors. Crawford has looked serviceable b...
